About Stanmore
Stanmore is a suburb in the Inner West, and one of the Sydney, in New South Wales, Australia. It is six kilometers south-west of the Sydney central business district. It is also a part of the local government area of the Inner West Council.

History of Stanmore
Stanmore got its name after a prosperous saddler, John Jones, who bought land in 1835. Jones gave the name after his birthplace of Stanmore that is now a north-west suburb of London.
